Thank you to everyone who attended June's general meeting!

In Attendance:

11:10: KBOA Finances: Treasurer: Parker Smith

  • Bank Balance: $40,516.76        PayPal Pending: $727.75             Current June P&L 2017

  • UPDATE: KBOA 2016 Taxes

    • In progress; Ryan is ON IT!

 

11:15: Organization Update

11:20: Membership- Chair: Dan Wingate- The Pullman

  • Three Levels of Membership: Brick & Mortar, Home-Based, Associate

  • Membership:  Total Members: 61 Active. 11 Lapsed- See list here

    • Record number of members

  • New Associate Members: Lakeview Capital Partners, Evans & White and Cornerstone Bank

    • Greater Good, Mixd Up, Poor Hendrix have been contacted to be associate members and food stations (still waiting to hear back from Greater Good)

  • Renewing Members: Taproom

  • UPDATE: NEW Business Orientation: Smuggs Fitness (Sam), Sumo Consulting (Cameron) and Pullman (Dan)

    • Peer mentoring program for new businesses with questions about licenses, trash pick-up, contracts, taxes, etc.

    • Monthly/Annually; program logistics are still in the works

    • Could potentially partner up with the Startme program in East Lake

 

11:30: Monthly Meeting & Business Mixers: Chair: Mehrnush Saadat of Blue Ink Title

  • Next Mixer: 07-17-17,  5:00 - 7:00 pm at Atlanta Clay Works

    • Alcohol and snacks provided; social gathering to talk and network

    •  

 

11:35: Wine Stroll Committee (Chair Randy Brazee- Homes for Atlanta SAVE THE DATE: 11th Annual Kirkwood Wine Stroll is Friday September 22, 2017 from 7:00-10:00PM- New Time!

  • Tickets are $40 until 9/18.   363 tickets sold to date !

  • Wine Pouring Station Sign Up: DEADLINE: June 30,2017    Only 21 left

    • All stations receive 2 tickets and access to a discount code for customers

    • This year we’ll be much stricter on pouring; must use 1 oz. pourer for safety and so nobody runs out (FYI we use Kirkyard’s liquor license to run the event)

    • Please attend if you’d like to become more involved (or even just to listen to what’s going on)

  • Non Profit Organization Donation Submission Submission Deadline: July 18, 2017               Announcement of Award: August 15, 2017     Wine Stroll: September 22, 2017

  • Encourage all wine pouring stations to offer a special/promo (raffles, discounts with passport, etc.)

 

11:45: New Business:

  • FYI: Keep Atlanta Beautiful Recycling Coming to Kirkwood Sept 9th. 10am-3pm.

  • In the works: electric car-charging stations could potentially be installed
